VII Governing Body Meeting held at 11.00 A.M on 29-06-2019 in the Conference Hall of J.N.T.U.A. College of Engineering, Ananthapuramu.

Members Present:

Minutes of the Meeting:

1.Prof. K. Rama Naidu, Principal, Member & Convener welcomed the members of Governing Body.

2.Dr. Subbarao Ganta has introduced himself and requested the members and special Invitees to introduce themselves.

3.The K. Rama Naidu, Principal has instructed Dr.A.P.Siva Kumar to present the information about the actions taken on the resolutions of the VI Governing Body meeting held on 25-05-2019.

4.The Governing Body has approved the expenditure spent by the Faculty & Staff towards attending Training programmes/Conferences /Workshops/Review meetings under TEQIP-III.

5.The Governing Body has approved the expenditure spent by the Faculty & Staff towards conducting Workshops/Conferences/Training Programmes in the Institution

6.The Governing Body has approved the expenditure spent for Procurement of

Equipment for laboratories and other payments

7.The Governing Body has approved the submitted action plan for Quarter 2 of 2019-2020 to NPIU.

8.Governing Body has recommended, taking one representative from the financial division to monitor and certify the financial procedures followed the guidelines of Govt. of India and TEQIP III norms.

9.Regarding Sponsoring for Start-up projects, GOB has given various options available for Students Startup –up projects from central and state Government. Also, encouragement from University and college end by advertising and publishing student work. Meanwhile, instructed to work on the modality of the sponsorship, MoU or a formwork for such requests in future.

10.The Governing Body has resolved to enhance Allocation of budget for International Workshops/Conferences/Seminars. Financial support of Rs.2,00,000(Two Lakh) for first day and Rs.1,50,000(One Lakh Fifty thousand for subsequent days.

11.Regarding the Procurement of Turnitin Internet-based plagiarism detection service, governing body has suggested to explore the possibilities from the University.
